Will Pepi

Will Pepi is from New York City and is a PhD student in the Built Ecologies program at CASE. Prior to joining, he attended Colby College where he received a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and a minor concentration in environmental science. Will is interested in building energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality. 

His research at CASE focuses on using plants in HVAC integrated biomechanical systems to generate clean air from within building envelopes, allowing for recirculation of conditioned air without compromising indoor air quality. His work spans from core scientific investigations into photosynthesis and microbial metabolism of air pollutants, to co-simulation of building energy and indoor air quality, to architectural design and prototyping of plant systems.
