Brandon Marks is a third-year student in the Bachelor of Architecture program at RPI.  Brandon is from Marlton, New Jersey.  He joined the undergraduate program at CASE in 2021, where he researches new sustainable building systems and user-driven experiences.

At RPI, Brandon’s work takes a futurist’s approach.  In Spring 2020, Brandon collaborated with Dan Froehlich to create Project R.E.A.L.I.T.Y., a library/laboratory/apartment hybrid proposal for Troy, New York that uses wind and hydro turbines to provide its own energy.  In Summer 2020, Brandon’s conceptual project Elevator Odyssey envisioned what the future of elevators could be in response to megastructures and pandemic precautions.  The project placed first in the AIAS and Schindler Elevate 2.0 competition.  In Fall 2020, Brandon developed Quantum Generation, an office building proposal for Albany that uses a Quantum Random Number Generator to create meaningful spaces in the workplace.

Outside of his studies, Brandon is a captain of the RPI cross country team.  He is also a member of the track team, where he specializes in the Mile, 3000m and 5000m.
