Richard-Allen Foster is an M.S. student in the Built Ecologies program at CASE, RPI. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed architect (AIA, LEED AP) with over 20 years of professional design leadership experience. His research focuses on the concept of fraternal digital twins as a framework for entangled realities in architecture, exploring how physical and digital environments can diverge yet remain interconnected to create adaptive, participatory, and narrative-driven spaces.
At CASE, Foster aims to advance methods of integrating augmented and virtual reality, digital twins, and worldbuilding into architectural design. He brings experience as a lecturer at the University of Tennessee’s College of Architecture and Design, where he has taught courses on XRchitecture and Storytelling and Dynamic Worldbuilding. His broader work bridges practice, research, and teaching, emphasizing the intersection of technology, storytelling, and architecture.
